The company Saint-Gobain Abrasives has been present in Poland since 1998. In 1999 Fabryka Materiałów i Wyrobów Ściernych Korund with its registered office in Koło joined the structures of Saint-Gobain Abrasives. The next few years were devoted to reorganization and modernisation to bring the plant into line with world standards.

Today the factory in Koło is one of the most modern and significant complexes in the world. In the plant in Koło the Integrated Management System was implemented which includes processes connected with product quality, natural environment protection and work safety and hygiene, certified according to the norms PN-ISO 9001, PN ISO 14001 and PN-N-18001.

Saint-Gobain Abrasives company is one of the biggest employers and investors in the Wielkopolska region. It employs nearly 1000 people.
